What information do I need to provide for the Compliance Review if I write surplus lines business?

The agent will need to provide a copy of the surplus lines agent’s license / photo identification, proof of the agency’s licensure/registration with DFS and the surplus lines agent’s or agency’s Accounts Payable Ledger relating to your “vendors” (a list of all insurance companies, agents, brokers, and MGAs) that have been paid in the last 12 months.

As per Florida Statutes, Section, 626.930 (2), all records and information must be available to FSLSO when the review commences to be deemed acceptable for conducting the review. The FSLSO Contract Analyst will provide a list of policies to the agent from which the policies have been selected from the past three calendar years. The FSLSO Analyst may select additional policies for review.
