SLIP Receives a Facelift and Added Functionality

On Monday, April 27, FSLSO will release a new version of SLIP. While the basic functionality will remain the same, the new version will feature a completely new look and a few additional changes. These include:

  • Separate "New Policy" and "Search Policy" screens. While the current version of SLIP combines these two areas, the latest release will separate these two items into two different pages. Note that the new version will have separate icons and tabs for each of these areas.
  • Deletion of Security Screen. The current version of SLIP includes a section called "Security" which allows the agent to assign certain security roles to his/her SLIP users. This section has been deleted in the new release, and all role assignments will be made in the "Users" section of SLIP. Now, to add or change a user’s role you will simply go to the “Users” section, select the appropriate user that you wish to modify, click “Edit” and then check the box under “Security Info” that corresponds with the desired role ("administrator," "edit and view," and "view").

Added Functionality

  • Billing Preferences. The new release will also include a billing preference section at the bottom of the "Users" screen. If you are an electronic invoice subscriber, this new section will allow you to choose your preferred invoicing format (either PDF or CSV).
  • New "Excludes Backouts" button. A new radio button noted "Excludes Backouts" has been added to the Transactions Screen. If you have a lot of transactions for a particular policy, including numerous backouts, you can check this button to exclude all backed out transactions as well as the backouts themselves. This will be useful to see exactly which transactions are still valid for a particular policy.

All of these enhancements have been completed in an effort to make SLIP a more user-friendly and efficient filing mechanism for Service Office customers. We thank our customers for their feedback and ask for continual suggestions for future enhancements.
