Florida DCA Changes Name to Florida Division of Emergency Management
On 9/15/11 FSLSO received word that the Department of Community Affairs has had a legal name change from the Florida Department of Community Affairs to the Florida Division of Emergency Management within the Executive Office of the Governor effective October 1, 2011.
As a result, the EMPA surcharge will be made payable to the Florida Division of Emergency Management effective October 1, 2011. It will be noted on the 3rd quarter billing cycle as the DEM EMPA Surcharge invoice. Internal accounting systems may need to be updated with this name change when processing payments.
