Hurricane Katrina Disaster Preparedness

ARE YOU PREPARED? The FSLSO, along with the rest of Florida's Panhandle coast, is anticipating a Hurricane strike within the coming days.

Please know FSLSO will continue to be available to assist our member agents who may be affected by Hurricane Katrina.

We hope our member agents and their customers, as well as the rest of South Florida, are recovering from Hurricane Katrina.

For those located in Florida's Panhandle, first and foremost, be prepared to take care of your families, watch this storm and heed any and all warnings and evacuation postings.

Secondly, be sure you have plans in place to handle claims and other urgent matters. If your phone lines are inoperative, be sure to have alternative contacts in place and be sure your contact information for claims has been communicated to the FSLSO, i.e., name, phone numbers, fax numbers, cell phone numbers, email addresses, etc..., prior to the storm's impact.

Contact the FSLSO as soon as reasonably possible to let us know your situation and how we may be of assistance. The FSLSO will post on its website and will distribute eNews bulletins as noted by our disaster preparedness procedures, i.e., when we go on "alert" mode; when we may stop accepting files in order to back up our database; and when normal operations resume.

Currently, Hurricane Katrina is predicted to strike somewhere along Florida's Panhandle Monday morning or as late as Tuesday morning.

Please communicate with the FSLSO as we will be able to communicate and assist your customers in the wake of a potential disaster. Thank you for your help!
