DFS Changes Testing Vendor
The Florida Department of Financial Services, Bureau of Licensing is transitioning its Examination and License issuance program from Thomson Prometric to Promissor (www.Promissor.com) beginning September 1, 2005. During this time, some applicants may experience a temporary delay in scheduling their examinations or getting their license id cards.
Anyone authorized between Aug 16th - Aug 29th to sit for an exam will have to wait until Aug 30th to contact Promissor to schedule an examination.
Thomson will continue administering examinations and issuing photo license cards through August 31st. Thomson's call center (800-343-6001) will be available through Aug 31st. However, availability to take an examination will be limited for the remainder of August. If you are unable to schedule your examination with Thomson, you will need to contact Promissor at www.promissor.com or by telephone at 888-274-2020 AFTER August 30th to schedule your examination.
If you are currently scheduled to take an examination with Thomson Prometric, you will need to cancel your appointment with Thomson at least 3 days prior to your scheduled examination. If you do not cancel your appointment during that time frame, you will forfeit your examination fee and you must apply for a re-exam with the Department. Then you must contact Promissor on Aug 30th. or after to schedule.
