Agent Software Installation Instructions

If you are upgrading a previous version of the FSLSO Agent software, please read the database installation options carefully.

If you currently have the software installed on a stand-alone system and wish to install it on a network or allow access to the Agent database by multiple client PCs, please read the network instructions following the general installation instructions.

  1. Download the FSLSO Agent v3.x software installation file to your computer (do not select run from current location). If you already have the Agent software installed on your PC, download the upgrade installation file; otherwise, download the full version installation file.
  2. After download is complete, run the installation file.
  3. The Welcome screen will appear; click Next.
  4. Choose the destination folder for your application:
    Hint: For users with a prior version of the software installed, use the location of the currently installed version. If you do not know the location of the previous version, use the Find feature from the Start Menu to locate the file agent.exe. The default directory for installation of prior versions was 'C:\Program Files\FSLSO'.
  5. Click Next> to move to the Start Installation screen.
  6. Click Next> to move to the Database Installation Options screen.
  7. Database Installation Options:
    Upgrade the existing database (upgrades only)
    If you have a previous version installed choose this option. You may be asked to identify the current location of the database. Hint: If you do not know the database location, use the Find feature from the Start menu to locate the file agent.mdb.

    Install the database on my network (new installs only)
    Use this feature only if you do not have a previous version installed. You will be asked to identify the location to install the database.

    Install the database locally (new installs only)
    Use only if you do not have a previous version installed.
  8. When installation is complete, you will be asked to identify which Program Group you wish to place the FSLSO Agent software icon into. Select OK after you have selected the desired Program Group (the default is recommended).
  9. You must reboot your system before being able to use the FSLSO Agent software.

Network Installation for FSLSO Agent v3.x Software

If you wish to allow multiple users to access your FSLSO Agent database, please follow these recommended steps:
  1. Install the FSLSO Agent software on a single PC, either upgrading an existing database, or installing a fresh copy.
  2. Use the Move function in the Database Settings of the software to relocate your agent.mdb file to the desired location (this process is not recommended unless you are relocating your database to a network server).
  3. Install the Agent software on any other client PCs you wish to allow access to the primary Agent database. After installation, you may use the Settings function in Database Settings to reset your database path to the network version of your agent.mdb database.
