XML Batch Filing of Transaction Data

Please note, as of July 1, 2012, agent and insurer .slx batch filing will become obsolete.

FSLSO now offers batch filing of transaction data for surplus lines agents, surplus lines insurers, and large volume IPC (Independently Procured Coverage) filers using one of several XML formats. These formats will replace the current .slx format for surplus lines agents and surplus lines insurers on 7/1/2012. Details for the specifications and submission methods are available in the XML Batch Filing User Manuals.

There are two ways to submit batches automatically: manual file upload via SLIP and API (web service) submission. The standard way to automate batch submissions is to configure your existing AMS (Agency Management System) to export the policy data as XML so it can be uploaded manually as a single file. You can take automation further by using API submission for complete integration.
